AI TRANSPARENCY

AI-assisted.
Human responsibility.

We use AI as a writing aid, with people deciding what gets submitted and published.

What AI can help with

When enabled, our optional profile assistant turns facts supplied by a producer into an English draft. The producer can review, edit or discard it. The assistant does not submit or publish a profile.

What stays with people

Producers are responsible for the accuracy of their information and claims. Our team reviews applications before publication. AI does not verify identities, certificates, organic status, origin, animal welfare or product safety. Listing approval is not independent certification.

What is sent for drafting

Only after the producer explicitly requests a draft, the selected business name, main category, country, product summary, capacity and draft description are sent to OpenAI. Account passwords, contact fields, exact addresses, map coordinates and photos are excluded from the request. Producers should not put confidential information in text they choose to send.

Illustrative category images

Category artwork and fallback images are generated with AI and labelled. They illustrate a type of production and do not depict or verify a particular business, facility, product or location. Approved producer photographs take priority on listing cards and replace the fallback on profiles.

Origin and open data

Regional climate context comes from NASA POWER, and landscape context comes from Copernicus DEM and CORINE Land Cover 2018, not from AI-generated descriptions. Its reference period, source and retrieval date are shown. It does not establish a product’s origin, soil properties, certification or quality. Public production pins are supplied by producers and may not describe the harvest location of every batch.

Control and availability

AI drafting depends on the installation configuration and provider availability. You can always complete the form manually. AI-assisted descriptions confirmed by the producer are labelled on the resulting profile.
